Firm branding
Set your business name, logo and brand colour, preview them on the portal, reports and invitation email, and see where your branding appears.
On this page
Your branding makes your reports, client portal and invitation emails look like they come from your firm. It’s included on every plan, including Free.
Where to set it
Open Firm Branding from the workspace menu. You’re also offered it during setup, under Make it look like your firm.
What you can set
- Business name (required, up to 120 characters). Shown on your client portal, reports and invitation emails.
- Logo (optional). PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 512 KB. Use Choose image, Replace or Remove.
- Brand colour. Pick one of the presets, use the colour picker or enter a hex code. PIToolkit chooses readable text and button colours for every surface automatically.
- Report heading colour (optional, under Advanced brand options). Used for your firm name and headings in report PDFs.
Choose Save branding when you’re done. Changes apply from then on.
Preview before you save
The Live preview has three tabs, Portal, Report and Email, so you can see how your branding looks without inviting a real client. The Email tab shows the actual invitation email your clients will receive.
Where your branding appears
- Report PDFs: your logo, business name and colours.
- Client portal: each of your cases shows your firm’s name, logo and colour. A client who works with more than one firm on PIToolkit sees a neutral portal home page, with each case showing its own firm’s branding.
- Invitation emails: the subject line reads “
has invited you to their secure client portal”, the body names your firm, and the button uses your brand colour. Emails don’t include your logo. They’re sent from PIToolkit’s own sending address.
The evidence package isn’t branded. It names your firm but has no logo or colours, so it reads as a neutral technical record.
Set your business name before you invite a client. Without one, invitation emails go out unbranded, in PIToolkit’s name.
Branding isn’t encrypted
Your business name, logo and colours are stored in a form PIToolkit’s servers can read, because they have to appear on portal pages and in emails before anyone has unlocked anything. Don’t put anything confidential in them. See What PIToolkit can and cannot see.
