Your activity log is a permanent record of activity in your workspace and client portal: who opened your cases, and what changed.

Opening it

  • Open your account menu and choose Activity log, or
  • go to Settings, section Help & audit log, and choose Open activity log.

From a case, Open in activity log shows that case’s entries, such as evidence uploads.

What it records

Each entry says what happened, what kind of record it happened to, and when. For example: a case was created, evidence was uploaded or removed, a report was published, your data was exported, or a security setting changed.

The log itself never stores case content, such as names, notes, evidence or messages; records are referred to by their id. On screen, your browser fills in the case name, and the client’s name for client actions, by decrypting them from your own records as the page opens. PIToolkit’s servers only ever see the ids.

Filtering and exporting

Use the filters to narrow the list, and Export CSV to download it, for example for your own records or an audit.

How long it’s kept

The activity log is permanent. It’s kept even after your account is deleted, as a record of what happened. Questions about deleting your account? Contact us.
